How we got started
After consulting for a number of businesses after leaving Apple, our founder, Nick, discovered that many businesses didn't use their performance data to their advantage and missed opportunities to grow. Worse than that, a lot of businesses were wasting money by over-investing in the wrong things.
Seeing this problem, and the stress it can create was what led to the creation of alphawhale.
Our Future
We believe that the challenge of reaching the right audience with the right message to solve the right problem at the right time will always remain. How we do our job in the future will change but why we do it, and what's expected from us likely won't. One thing is for sure; who we support is just as important as how we support them. We need to ensure the brands and businesses we work with share our values and are responsible to their communities and the environment.
We want to do work that the next generation will admire.
What does 'alphawhale' mean?
An 'alpha' in the investment community is a return that is above the expected trend. Say the market was already trending 5% positive, an alpha return would be better than that.
Why do alpha results matter at alphawhale?
Well, simply, our clients expect our results to be better than they otherwise could have achieved. Great results keep them and us in business.
So what does a whale have to do with alpha results?
Not much really. A whale is one of the ocean's most magnificent and majestic creatures. If you've ever seen the public joy when a whale is sighted then you'll understand the vibe we want to bring.
